Our Client is a leading Multi-Disciplinary Consultancy providing management and consultancy services to the built and natural environment. They are now seeking to recruit a Senior Ecologist in South Yorkshire.
What the Senior Ecologist role entails: The role will involve both field and office based work and given the nature of ecological consultancy you will be required to work at different times of the day and night as survey protocols dictate. Above all you will be an enthusiastic and resourceful individual keen to make a difference and develop your career
The ideal Senior Ecologist will have some or all of the following: Proven surveying skills, extended phase 1 habitat surveys and protected species survey experience; Experience of protected species licensing process and ideally hold one or more protected species licence(s) Sound knowledge and experience in Ecological Impact Assessment and/or ecological mitigation projects Sound knowledge of UK & European wildlife legislation particularly relating to commonly occurring protected species and species of high conservation importance Excellent report writing and GIS skills Proven project management experience including scoping, estimating and tendering for work Experience of managing and liaising with landowners, clients and stakeholders
