Hours: Full time, 36.5 hours per week. Some weekend and evening working may be required from time to time for special events
Salary: Starting from £20,200 to £22,607 per annum, plus excellent holidays and contributory pension scheme. Subject to a 16 week probationary period

Whats the job?
This is an exciting opportunity to assist in the smooth running of a dynamic Students Union. As Democratic Voice Coordinator you will be at the centre of the democratic processes of the Students Union. You will have a commitment and knowledge of membership organisations and be able to demonstrate impartiality in a student led, democratic environment.
If you are passionate about supporting students and promoting their voice, and you have the ability to broker partnerships and deliver positive impact, then the following roles could be for you:
Your role will be to coordinate all aspects of the Student Unions democratic processes and seek to maximize the involvement and commitment of our membership in students union democracy.
In order to succeed, you must possess strong administrative skills and expertise. You must also possess excellent planning and communication skills and be able to work as part of a team.
You will support the Democracy & Education Policy Manager, Sabbatical Officers and other representatives in their work, ensuring that students remain as the focal point of what we do.
Who you are:
As the one of the first points of contact for queries relating to democracy, you will help to build positive and effective relationships with a broad range of stakeholders, from students through to academic staff. You need to have a positive attitude and the ability to build a rapport with a range of people, with an eagerness to engage with students and improve their experience.
