Position: Apprenticeship Assessor/Skills Tutor

Salary: £23,000 Per Annum

Hours: Monday - Friday 08.30am - 17.00pm

Benefits: Pension 3%, Phone, Laptop, Mileage Paid at 22p per mile

Location: North & South Somerset & Dorset - Candidates must live in Somerset or Dorset

Our client has been a prime contract holder with the ESFA for 15 years delivering a wide range of apprenticeships, NVQ/QCF and functional skills. They deliver nationally but focused in South West, where they have their Head office, London and Yorkshire. They are looking to recruit an Apprenticeship Assessor, Coach and Functional Skills Tutor to cover north & south Somerset & Dorset in Health and Social Care. The ideal applicant must able to deliver L2, L3 & L5 and have experience in delivery. You need to have a clean driving licence.

The Ideal Candidate:

Must be able to inspire, motivate and raise apprentices' aspirations through their passion for the sector in which both work.

Operate at all times to ethical and legal standards and within professional boundaries set by awarding bodies, funding organisations, OFSTED and Matrix and similar organisations.

Must be able to model and encourage mutual respect, displaying a deep understanding of equality and diversity, personal welfare and behaviour and develop, tolerance and understanding with and between learners, colleagues, employers, community and appropriate agencies.

Value the importance of Maths, English and ICT skills in the apprentices' future economic and social well-being.

Evaluate and improve your own professional practice through increasing knowledge and experience in relation to the Professional Standards for Teachers and Educators in the Education and Training Sector.

Must be flexible and willing to work outside normal working hours and be willing to travel in order to support students

Plan Coaching and Assessment:

Facilitate access to relevant, current information advice and guidance (IAG).

Apply or reference relevant initial and diagnostic assessment in programme design and delivery.

Agree a program of development and assessment, setting realistic but challenging goals that meet learners' and employers' needs.

Understand sources of and how to access up-to-date and valid IAG.

Understand relevant forms of assessment to identify and meet individual needs.
