DESCRIPTION:

Our client is seeking an EMEA Strategic Sourcing Manager to lead all purchasing activity for their business. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is CIPS qualified, in the early years of their career, eager to build a longstanding career working for a reputable company.

Responsible for all direct & indirect purchasing commodity spend in the EMEA region, the jobholder will liaise with management and internal clients for procurement and sourcing needs within the business, including supporting finance, legal and treasury departments.

Job responsibilities include:

  • Ability to present comprehensive, information and recommendations for use in decision making to management
  • Interact with Supplier Top Management (CEO, General Sales Manager, etc.)
  • Produce a purchasing strategy for EMEA, interpreting WW strategies where appropriate
  • Lead projects within the purchasing function, through EMEA and WW activities.
  • Provide procurement process support and guidance on corporate policy for the acquisition of goods and services
  • Select vendors for Worldwide, European Supply and Contracting
  • Provide judgement on suppliers capabilities, which requires occasional visits of supplier sites
  • Management of spend, savings and total supplier base
  • Interface with WW Procurement Management, with EMEA local Managers with geographic responsibilities to ensure procurement strategy implementation, with main internal partners for major projects
  • Provide continuous business and market analysis & bench marking
  • Contract development & management
  • Maintain supplier relationships and contract performance management

Job requirements include:

Qualifications

  • Operations, Engineering or Business Management Degree (or equivalent)
  • MCIPS Qualified
  • Experience of Contract Law & Contract writing including tax implications
  • International Experience
  • Project Management Experience
  • Experience with Cost Analysis tools (TCO, Make or Buy (inhouse vs outsource), Target costing, Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA)
