Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer
Location: Option to work fully remote - approx one day on-site per month (to a data centre near south/London, or the occasion office visit)

Reporting to the Group Head of Infrastructure, you will be a key contributor and hold significant responsibilities for the design, configuration, technical support, monitoring and on-going maintenance of critical IT infrastructure & services, supporting 800+ users globally, across the group of companies.
This will be a hands on technical role - you will be a decision maker, key in influencing the group strategy. You will also be able to mentor the more junior infrastructure engineers on the team (4-5 engineers).
You will have a proven track record (10 years minimum) in a senior support role, maintaining and supporting enterprise IT infrastructure & cloud services, in a similar size environment of (Apply online only) users; or more.

Strong interpersonal skills and team working capabilities.
Collaborate effectively with technical peers and colleagues on direction of travel, automation and best practice.
Be motivated, ultra-reliable & highly organised, with a proven ability to work well under pressure and with tight time scales.
Managing and maintaining servers, networks and core infrastructure both on-premise and cloud hosted.
Diagnosing and resolving technical issues on-site where required, occasional visits to branch offices and datacentre co-location sites.
Supporting infrastructure growth projects.
Documenting and auditing existing infrastructure, making recommendations for improvement and ensuring a smooth transition of solutions into service.
Project management for all implementations where a project manager has not been assigned.
Transition of projects from implementation phase to BAU, including definition and delivery of technical documentation.

Microsoft Exchange 2003 to 2016 or 2019
Cloud Technologies - AWS and/or Microsoft Azure
Microsoft Remote Desktop Services - RDS farm technologies
Microsoft Group Policy Management
Microsoft Server Stack 2008R2 to 2019
Microsoft Windows 7 to Windows 10
Security Products - antivirus platforms, SIEM, Mimecast TTP
Backup technologies & disaster recovery solutions, Veritas / SRM
