A great opportunity has arisen for an experienced Part 2 Architectural Assistant to join a growing Housing Developer with a burgeoning reputation for delivering contemporary high-quality developments with traditional character.
We require a driven RIBA accredited Architectural Assistant with demonstrable UK industry experience within the Residential sector to come on board and become an important member of the design team. The successful Part 2 Architectural Assistant will work closely with a Senior Architect on the technical side of the process.
This is an exciting opportunity to join an established yet expanding business. They have recently built brand new offices and are enjoying a period of growth with a number of new developments in progress.
Role and Responsibilities:
Producing building control and construction drawings including technical details
Liaising with site managers and producing information to support construction
Reporting directly to the Technical Design Manager but also working closely with the wider planning design team
Required skills and experience:
RIBA Part 2 qualified Architectural Assistant
Min 2 years UK Architecture industry experience within Residential sector
Experience producing building control and construction information
Good technical knowledge and understanding of the UK Building Regulations
Knowledge of ArchiCAD preferred but not essential
Works well independently or as part of a larger team
Timber frame experience would be beneficial
Must be willing to conduct site visits or attend meetings when required
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Full driving license and own transport essential due to rural location
The successful Part 2 Architectural Assistant can expect to receive a highly competitive salary, likely to be in the region of £25-£32k dependant on experience, as well as the opportunity to really put their own stamp on the future of a company and the career progression that would naturally come with that.
