Hours: 37 Hours per week
Salary: In the range of £19,385-£21,428 per annum (Dependent on skills, experience and qualifications)

The Music and Performing Arts team are an experienced, creative, resilient and student-centred group of staff working together as teachers, technicians, support staff and managers. As part of that team you will be working alongside other specialists in Music or Performing Arts, both as a technician and a demonstrator.
The role will be supporting students and staff on a variety of programmes at various levels, as directed by the Manager for both technical support and student demonstration. This will be in close collaboration with Course leaders, the Curriculum Manager and Head of School. You will be ensuring students are guided and supported safely, positively and with technical expertise through all stages of their programme from taster days, gigs, shows, external events, access to specialist resources, workshops and class delivery from Level 1 to level 5. You will ensure safe, effective and consistent use of specialist spaces and resources.
The Successful Candidate:
The successful candidate’s knowledge, skills, experience, abilities and qualities will include:
Configure, transport, build, operate, and maintain live sound systems and demonstrate their use.
Configure, build, operate, and maintain studio systems and demonstrate their use.
Configure, build, and maintain classroom music production workstations and demonstrate their use.
Distribute and track College portable equipment for offsite or onsite use.
Maintain drums, guitars, pianos, and undertake general backline maintenance.
Undertake routine instrument and signal cable electrical repairs.
Undertake equipment purchasing and accurately work using finance and asset management systems.
Complete registers and communicate lesson objectives in lessons.
Support staff with delivery, technical expertise and cover as appropriate.
Configure, transport, build, and operate video camera rigs for live recording or streaming.
Configure, build, and operate stage lighting systems for live sound.
Be familiar with Studio, PC and Mac software and DAW’s as appropriate.
Be available for departmental cross college support at events and gigs as appropriate including evenings and potentially weekends.
Have experience of working or training in the Music industry or related creative industries.
