Domus are recruiting on behalf of a national Charity, seeking a Team Leader to join their specialist residential service in Reading, that supports adults with Learning Disabilities and Autism.

As a Team Leader your main purpose will be to contribute and have responsibility for providing quality social and vocational support services for the people supported.

You will lead, supervise and develop a team of support workers to ensure the needs of those supported are met according to their individual support plan in line with company policy and procedures and regulatory standards.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a current Team Leader or Senior Support Worker looking for a new challenge, or a highly experienced Support Worker looking for that next stage of progression!

Key Responsibilities of a Team Leader:

Establish and maintain professional relationships with stakeholders in order to compliment and contribute to the positive reputation of the company.
Provide line management to a designated team of staff within a specified group at a location or group of locations within the allocated division.
Undertake any reasonable traveling requirements in order to fulfil the tasks and responsibilities of the role. This may include supporting other locations within the Division as required.
Set and communicate high standards of care and professional conduct within the team supervised.
Lead and support compliance with the services quality audits.
Lead and support in health and safety duties as appropriate
Contribute information for the accurate notification of incidents/accidents/safeguarding as appropriate.
Represent the organisation at meetings and seminars and any other external events, where appropriate

Team Leader Requirements:

Previous experience of working within a care/support environment
Knowledge of current relevant legislation relating to care standards, health and safety and food hygiene
Excellent communication skills (written and oral)
Demonstrate ability to be flexible and adaptable in approach, being able to prioritise, plan and organise the work load
Demonstrating a customer focused approach and a professional attitude
IT skills including the ability to open and send emails using Outlook, the ability to use Microsoft office and the ability to navigate the internet
Excellent communication skills to communicate effectively on all levels
Literacy skills to meet the requirements of defensible documentation
Numeracy skills to meet financial management responsibilities
Ability to use your own initiative and make informed decisions.
Good time keeping, time management attendance skills
