Vision for Education is looking to appoint a KS1 Teaching Assistant (TA) to join our successful supply team and work in a friendly primary school in Bishop Auckland. This is a supply Teaching Assistant (TA) role, which will commence as soon as possible with a vision for temporary to permanent employment later in the academic year. Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications.
The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are Level 2 TA qualification.
Working as part of a dynamic and creative team in a primary school you will be providing general support within a Key Stage 1 classroom. Previous experience supporting SEND children and delivering Read Write Inc is beneficial. There may be some intervention work as well as some 1:1 assistance with reading and maths. This role will be full time, to , Monday to Friday.
To be considered for the KS1 Teaching Assistant (TA) position, you will:
Hold a minimum of a Level 2 qualification in Supporting Children and Learning.
Have experience of working as a Teaching Assistant in a school environment.
Be experienced in working with smaller nurture groups to boost attainment.
Have a genuine desire to become part of a committed team of school staff.
Ideally have experience delivering Literacy and Maths interventions.
Possess experience working with SEND children would be an advantage.
