Grinder/Hone Setter Operator Location: Basingstoke Salary: Competitive Hours: 37.5 hours per week, rotating weekly shift pattern; Monday - Friday 06:30 - 14:30 & 14:00 - 22:00 Main Purpose of the Grinder/Hone Setter Operator: Carry out all operations involved in the Grinding and Honing of parts made on the CNC section. They will also be required to make speed / feed adjustments to maintain the quality of components during production. Providing support/training and training reviews of other staff members will be required. Responsibilities of the Grinder/Hone Setter Operator: Ensure that all duties are completed in a safe manner Produce components using manual cylindrical grinding and honing machines. Provide training to others as required (grinding/honing setting, altering sizes, measurement techniques etc.) Provide day-to-day support for the grinding and honing section and ensure that manufactured parts conform to drawing Improve and maintain housekeeping standards Maintain/improve/implement Health and Safety best practice Support Engineering department with implementation of best practice techniques, training, new parts introduction. Support QC functions as appropriate Any other duties required Requirements of the Grinder/Hone Setter Operator: Essential Recognised engineering apprenticeship with experience within a manufacturing/production environment. We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Band 5 Midwife to join our NHS client's busy Maternity Service at their acute hospital site, located in the life sciences/Biotech hub of Stevenage, Hertfordshire , surrounded by beautiful countryside and leafy suburbs. The Trust sees over 5,500 births per year and offers home-births, or in their midwife-led unit, or in the consultant-led unit that provides care for women with more complicated pregnancies. They currently we have five birthing pools in the maternity unit and one in their consultant-led unit. This is a full-time role but this Trust is committed to, where possible, offering flexible hours/shift opportunities. Our client is a major NHS Trust in North Hertfordshire providing care to a catchment area of nearly 600,000 people. It comprises three acute sites at Stevenage , Welwyn and Hertford , all of which are right on the A1(M) Motorway and close to the M1, offering easy access to central London by train, and to Luton Airport. Person requirements : Registered Midwife with (or eligible for) NMC registration.
