The new Engineering manager is looking to grow and develop a brand new maintenance department, this is an excellent opportunity to come on board as there's a lot of investment and training available. The company are experiencing a period of growth, this site is implementing more efficient processes and going from strength to strength. The successful candidate can be from ANY manufacturing, ex forces, service or transferable background. Your background can me mechanical, electrical or multi skilled. You will be working on hydraulic equipment, conveyors, gears, bearings and motors within a heavy production environment. Electrically you will have basic fault finding and diagnostic skills, any PLC experience is highly advantageous but not essential. Ideally you will hold an NVQ Level 3, City and Guilds or equivalent. A PPM schedule is being implemented as the department grows, you will also be responsible for reactive breakdowns ensuring equipment is up and running as quickly as possible. The company are looking to move towards a more proactive approach within maintenance, and time will be allocated on shift for continuous improvement work.
