We have an exciting position available working for one of our clients in Nottingham within the Engineering Sector. They are seeking to train someone up to be come a production planner on a permanent contract. You will be required to have excellent Microsoft Excel skills and able to pick up systems and processes fairly quickly. Perfect for someone with an analytical mind. In addition you will be liaising with clients to keep them updated on timescales and issues that may arise. This will suit someone who is confident in talking to other businesses. The Company: They have a site in Nottingham and part of a larger group with sites across the UK. They specialise mainly with different types of metals and ferocious metals for the Automotive, Aerospace industries. They are keen to get someone trained up that maybe interested in making a career out of being a production planner. You will receive higher pay brackets as you progress within the company. Duties: Working directly and reporting to the production manager Taking information from systems and put into Excel spread sheets Ensuring materials are ordered and arriving accordingly to prevent downtime of production Liaising with suppliers Liaising with clients to keep them in the loop on how their production is getting on Greeting customers that may come to site General admin duties Check production data against system data and resolve any variances Receive and process customer orders/schedules, clearly communicating capacity, availability, constraints and operational changes on a daily basis.
