Pin Point Health & Social Care is proud to be recruiting on behalf of a client in the Newcastle area who provide residential provisions and support for children and young people. They are requiring a Residential Child Care Worker to work with children up to the ages of 16, due to company expansion. The role is for a full time, permanent position working across the week and at times, night shifts. Our client offers great training and development with opportunities to progress within the company. The Role: You will be required to support the residential home for children and young people with social, emotional and behavioural difficulties. With a primary focus on making sure the best outcomes for the children and young people you will also be: Managing challenging behaviour Supporting with individualised care plans Encouraging daily goals and activities Maintaining safe environment Remain updated with documentation and records Keep knowledgeable with relevant legislation and policies Promoted education and daily living skills Undertake key-worker responsibilities Required Education, Skills and Qualifications Experience working within Children's Residential settings is beneficial, however experience across Mental Health, Probation & Prison & Secure Services and similar settings will be accepted.
