We have an exciting opportunity coming up at the end of the year for a Managing Director for the North region in the Priory Healthcare division reporting into the Division CEO. The role is a remote role and will require the successful candidate to be able to travel throughout the region as well as to the Priory Group head office in Hammersmith. The North region spans north and south from Scotland to Nottingham and west and east from Liverpool to Darlington with 24 hospitals in the region and 1 Wellbeing Centre. The hospitals have a range of service lines including medium & low secure, personality disorder, acute (both NHS and private), PICU, Addictions, Eating Disorders, CAMHS, Rehabilitation & Recovery, Learning disabilities and brain injury services. The role will have strategic responsibility for all aspects of performance in the region including quality, commercial and workforce. This includes ensuring all services put quality of care at the forefront of what they do whilst ensuring cost control, budgeting, profit and growth opportunities, strategic planning, business development and ensuring regulatory requirements are satisfied. The Managing Director has a Regional Senior Management team which comprises 2 Operations Directors, 1 Director of Quality, 2 Regional Finance Managers and 1 HR Business Partner, all Hospital Directors report into the Operations Directors. The Managing Director will sit on the Divisional Senior Management team alongside the other regional MD's, Group Director of Nursing, Group Medical Director, Finance Director, Service Development Director, Projects Director & HR Director. The ideal candidate will be passionate about providing high quality care and about continuous improvement. They will be a recognised leader, with significant operational and financial planning experience as well as experience of working across multi-unit facilities ideally (but not essentially) within the private healthcare environment. We are looking for candidates who have demonstrable and successful track record operating at a senior level with extensive managerial experience and ideally a thorough understanding of planning, commissioning and developing services for healthcare.
