Supporting Minds Blackpool IAPT (Improving Access to Psychological Therapies) Service Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners Band 5 The service require flexible and enthusiastic qualified Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners (PWPs) to join the IAPT service in Blackpool and work alongside Blackpool Council Employment Support Advisors. The successful candidates will be part of a two year pilot that is being run as a randomised controlled trial (RCT). Eligible Blackpool clients will be entered into the trial following an assessment with the IAPT service. Supporting Minds operates a selfreferral pathway. The team includes CBT therapists, counsellors and PWPs, providing psychological assessment and therapies to people with mild to moderate psychological and emotional difficulties. We also run Stress Control courses, The successful candidates will be part of a dedicated team based with the council team that have been recruited to run the pilot. The pilot began on 1st October 2016, and runs until September 2018, however this post is for 15 months (until the end of June 2018). It is an essential requirement for the post for the candidate to have a PG certificate in primary mental health and to have completed the relevant training Successful applicants will have completed an IAPT post graduate course that leads to the PWP qualification. Trainee PWPs who are currently attending an IAPT accredited PWP course will be considered, but would be employed at Band 4 until successful completion of the PWP course.
