This means an exciting re-structure within the existing locations and some great new jobs available across all the other sites too. This particular location is supportive living accommodation providing personal and domiciliary care to young adults and adults with learning disabilities, mental health disorders and / or challenging behaviour. Each resident has a 1 bedroomed flat but the site also has a fantastic large communal area available for residents to socialise. The site is manned 24/7 with care staff and the teams within each location provide the very best of care. There are daily ASDAN and BTEC activities and life skills activities available to residents so as to encourage social integration and develop self-reliance and life skills. It's also important to make clear that the aim is to ensure you aren't doing for the residents but doing with, so as to enable independence and confidence. This role takes someone with a mature, level head. You have to have the confidence to be a decision-maker, use your initiative and instinct and always have the best interests of the individual you're supporting in mind. A level of communication skills that will enable you to find common ground and gain trust is essential. The existing team describe the job as being immensely fulfilling and rewarding and one of the best parts is the relationships they build and solidify whilst giving care and support. Holiday allowance is 30 days per year.
