Data Engineer Energy efficiency company London Between £50000 and £60000 The role provides the opportunity to join a rapidly expanding energy company that is looking to transition from a warehouse structure towards a Big Data Platform. The expectation is that the role will provide scope for self sufficiency and autonomy as an aspect of transitioning towards a Big Data Platform. The Company: It is indisputable that Energy companies have an ethically questionable reputation in todays society, however it is worth noting that this particular company diverges from the norm. They are seeking to gain traction within the smart meter industry and have recently signed contracts with some major clients. Smart Meters save a great deal of energy thus reducing the impact we have on the planet. To cope with the increased demand that clients pose, the company is looking to hire a Data Engineer to expand their data capacity. The Role: This particular role of Data Engineer will involve working in the existing Data Science Unit and thus reporting to the Head of Data Science. The expectation is that a Data Engineer will work with a combination of software engineers and data scientists to build the appropriate data pipelines. Moreover the role also involves putting machine learning models into production based upon Data Scientists theoretical oversight. Your Skills and Experiences: Strong hands on commercial experience in Python and Spark Experience in the use of AWS and Apache Airflow Previous exposure to Agile working environments Strong communication skills to interact with Data Scientists and Software engineers How to apply: Please register your interest by sending your CV to William Wrigley via the apply link on this page
