Academics are recruiting on behalf of a growing SEN school in the New Forest area who are known for offering outstanding education and care for students with Aspergers Syndrome and other associated needs. They cater for pupils aged from 7 19 years and have extensive grounds and facilities including an outdoor swimming pool, an angling lake and grass and hardcourt areas for recreational activities. The school is set between Brockenhurst and Lymington with easy access to the New Forest and the seaside. The are seeking a KS2 Teacher to join them on a fulltime basis from October half term, or before if possible. You will have a very small class (currently 3 students) of mixed year groups (Year 3, Year 4, Year 5) to begin with. This class is likely to expand over the coming year, with a maximum of six students. Two of the current three students have a 1:1 funded TA. You will also have a general class TA to offer support when the class gets a little bigger. All students are completely verbal and very bright, although all have complex needs. They all have a primary diagnosis of autism (ASD) with additional complex needs such as attachment issues, OCD, ADHD etc. The suitable teacher will be a KS2 specialist and be someone who is patient, kind, firm and consistent yet nurturing, and most importantly somebody who is able to stay calm under pressure. He will flit between moods and is unable to cope in a classroom environment so this TA should be someone who again is prepared to take the initiative delivering resources and lessons provided by teachers. This TA should be resilient and consistent. A beautiful school based in Camberwell (South East London) are currently seeking an enthusiastic and proactive teacher to join their growing school. They currently cater to students with a wide range of needs including autism, complex and physical difficulties. The class being created is for seven students with profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD) with the support of four Learning Support Assistants (LSAs). Each child has physical disabilities combined with additional learning difficulties, such as autism. The school is equipped with the top resources and facilities including a hydrotherapy pool, sensory rooms and soft play areas.
