Welder Fabricator required to join a growing manufacturer of automotive and plant machinery components in the Marden area. Primarily, my client design and manufacture mechanical and hydraulic components for plant machinery and automotive applications. The successful candidate will be experienced in welding and fabrication techniques such as MIG Welding for sheet metal and / or metal components. Experience with mechanical fitting as a secondary skill would be an advantage but not essential. Welder Fabricator Position Overview To assist in the fabrication and manufacture process of all the clients products by carrying out welding duties of machined components, sheet metal and moresometimes working from jigs and fixtures. To maintain a clean and safe working environment in the factory and at your individual turn table workstation. To progress jobs so they meet timescales given. Welder Fabricator Position Requirements Proven background in welding is essential. Sheet metal fabrication, Panel Beating or Manual Machining experience is an advantage. Previous work using hand held tools and machinery would be advantageous. Previous experience in mechanical fitting or assembly would be a secondary advantage but is in no way essential. A HND/HNC or Apprentice Served Qualification in a Mechanical Engineering field of study would be advantageous but is not essential. Estimator Required of our client who are a large multimillionpound Civil Engineering Company who specialise in Foundation Design and Construction. The Estimator will be based out of their Dartford office. The role will be primarily an officebased role with the Estimator working on different types of piling projects including CFA, Tubular Steel, CHD and Precast Driven. The Ideal Estimating Engineer will hold a BEng or higher within either a Civil or Geotechnical Engineering discipline. The Pile Design Engineer will have at least 5 years postgraduation experience. The ideal Estimator will also have experience of and be confident in Pile Design. The Estimator will be involved in the preparation and submission of tenders, contract design and reviewing performance in respect of work completed on site. There will be a requirement for the Estimator to assist with operational staff and the Estimator will be working directly below the Piling Manger with fantastic opportunities to for progression. Estimating Engineer Position Overview Prepare and compile estimates and tenders packages for piling works, and foundations Engineering support to resolve issues on projects Prepare pile designs including BS8004 and Eurocode 7 Undertake tender appraisals and take off quantities for piles and foundation packages Site Visits pretender and during construction Post tender negotiations and clarifications Assist with the settlement of claims and disputes. CPD and other talks on behalf of the company.
