A Healthcare Assistant is currently required to join a fantastic Care Home that is located within Bristol. The medium bedded Home specialises in personalised nursing care for residents with dementia and other complex elderly needs within a homely environment. Respite breaks and day care are provided by the home. If you are successful for this role you will receive a competitive salary of �7.50 - �7.65 per hour with great additional benefits As a Carer your duties will be to provide personal support to the residents who sometimes are unable to fully support themselves. You will be assisting them to positively influence their lives and optimise their independence. Ensuring that their care plans are person-centred and delivered by getting to know them and their every personal need is crucial. Under supervision, you will assist senior staff with the administration of medication and take full responsibility for administration of medication where required. You will be helping with maintaining accurate records and undertaking ongoing training. Building a relationship with their close and extended families will be important to you. You will also be expected to care for the environment that the service users reside in and contribute to making their overall home experience as comfortable as possible. As well as undertaking domestic duties primarily on the floor such as; laundry/ironing, food preparation, table laying or cleaning/hovering floors. You will need an NVQ in care or be working towards the qualification. Experience within care environment isn�t crucial but would be desirable. You will also need to have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written and have the ability to work well as part of a team. You will be expected to be respectful and compassionate with a flexible attitude to cover a range of responsibilities at short notice. We are seeking a committed and experienced Sister / Charge Nurse to join our client's busy Surgical Ward team at their large acute hospital site, based in leafy and comfortable surroundings in Chandler's Ford, Hampshire , just outside Southampton along the M3. This is a full-time role, but our client may be open to considering a part-time hours opportunity; however, rigid rostering cannot be accommodated. Our client is a leading provider of independent healthcare in the UK, working with some of the capital's eminent medical Consultants and multidisciplinary healthcare specialists. The successful candidate will lead the team to deliver high quality, clinically effective care, liaising with Consultants and colleagues to co-ordinate and manage services, while identifying training opportunities for staff and further improvement strategies for the department.
