An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Care Broker to join Mears Care on a Maternity cover 12 month contract. The Care Broker will report to the Brokerage Manager to appropriately source new packages of care under the Living Well at Home Contract as well as maintaining accurate records of all activity carried out and dealing with all provider issues / concerns / complaints in a timely and responsible manner whilst also building relationships with providers and relevant external stakeholders. Duties will include: Make all effort to source all new packages of care Maintain accurate records of all activity carried out Assist the Brokerage Manager by ensuring reporting requirements are kept accurate and communicated in a timely manner Ensure the brokerage process is adhered to at all times Ensure compliance with the terms of the Living well at Home Contract (i.e: Response times) Ensure all Brokerage software is being used to its optimal capacity Work closely with Quality & Risk team to improve the quality of service to providers and ensuring that all CQC compliance is maintained throughout the brokerage process Manage the communication with internal and external colleagues, service users, GP’s, care managers, HSCC, care brokers, family members, and other healthcare professionals in order to meet the needs of the individual. Ensure that the service operates at a minimum of the CQC standard Requires Improvement Client and supply chain relationships: Maintain client and Provider relationships through regular interaction Meet client expectations through accurate and timely information Act as a critical friend to supply chain partners to help their business succeed and thus better able to support Mears in delivering this contract Work with partner providers to build, maintain and improve capacity Ensure close working with Brokerage Manager so that business priorities are understood and executed in a timely and appropriate manner Understand the need for confidentiality and ensure you act accordingly The successful Care Broker will have the following skills and experience: Accurate, reliable, credible, practical and proactive Accountable Ability to meet deadlines Ability to Multi-Task Driven Team Player and Professional Excellent communication skills Good interpersonal skills Desirable: Experience of procurement or supply chain management * Experience of Brokerage within the health sector The hours of work are 40 hours a week. 08:30- 17:00 Monday to Friday with one Saturday out of every 6 (A day in lieu is given for working the Saturday shift) This role will be based out of our Newton Abbot branch in Kingsteignton and there may be a requirement to travel to attend meetings on a regular basis.
