Job Purpose The Nursery Nurse (NN) is a key carer for a specific group of children responsible for delivering exceptional care and education for children. Maintaining accurate and effective childrens records and completion of progress checks Attend staff meetings and training sessions including all mandatory training for continuous Professional Development Drive own development through active participation in appraisals, one to ones and requesting supervisions where required Promote the nursery to current parents and potential customers, taking a BOLD approach to stand out amongst competitors. Use reflection to proactively take on board new ideas and initiatives including feedback from external professionals to enhance the nursery Desired Qualifications A full and relevant Level 2/3 qualification A university Degree First aid 12hour paediatric qualification A good record of ongoing training and/or other relevant qualifications Essential Experience Experience working in an early year setting Desired Experience Experience in any role, which includes face to face work directly with children, within an early years context. Experience working with babies either in a professional home base or early years provision. Essential Knowledge Understand issues around child development to support all children including children with disabilities. Good knowledge of the Revised Early Years Foundation Stage (Curriculum frameworks) and Welfare Requirements. In order to be considered for this role, the Nursery Nurse will need to meet the following criteria: Level 2/3 NVQ Certificate or higher Proven experience within a Nursery or Early Years setting / Nursery aged students Eligible to work in the UK (must have valid visa / right to work) Recent classroombased references and valid DBS / police checks If you think this is you and you have a passion to helping children with their future and want to work in an environment where you would develop professionally then this is the nursery for you.
