Manual Machinist / Capstan Lathe Turner Permanent Job Manual, conventional, lathe Setter Operator needed to join a precision subcontracting engineering business in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire. Were looking for a Skilled Machinist to set and operate a manual capstan lathe, pillar drills and other, similar conventional machine shop equipment (not CNC). This job will see you using well kept and maintained machinery in smart, well looked after premises with good facilities and easy access to all the tooling and equipment you need to produce high quality components in small, medium and larger batches. If you have experience in using manual lathes in a precision engineering environment, if youre confident in reading engineering drawings and measuring your own work then you might be just who were looking for. The Hours We have a full time position available but were happy to consider a skilled machinist who might be looking to work part time, perhaps three days a week. Daytime working hours, with an early finish on a Friday.
