Pharmaceutical Buyer Location: Watford, WD25 Salary: £30k to £45k, depending on the right candidate Hours of Work: Mon - Fri, 8am - 5pm About the Company: A pharmaceutical wholesaler with a growing network across the EU with aim of leveraging an international supply chain to supply pharmacy-related products to the local and EU market to meet the customers' pharmaceutical needs. Our client is now looking for a Pharmaceutical Buyer to join their teams. The perfect candidate will be responsible for sourcing and securing sustainable and ethical pharmaceuticals, ensuring a reliable supply chain which delivers the best value for money and timely deliveries for their clients. You will be responsible for maintaining and growing productive relationships with suppliers and at the same time help existing staff in maximizing warehouse space through stock management techniques. Pharmaceutical Buyer Responsibilities: Negotiation of contracts with suppliers including creation of a preferred suppliers list Sourcing of pharmaceutical products to meet customer needs Develop strategic plans of between 12 - 18 months for each account to maximise their development and business opportunity based upon current market intelligence Creation and delivery of procurement strategy Collaboratively work with the management to create demand forecasting and interface with third party supply Supplier relationship management - including supplier quality and performance Planning and market pricing forecasting Develop and implement tools to increase productivity Optimize the inventory process, providing analysis and recommendations on total inventory Implement strategic stock policies that will ensure optimum service is always maintained Manage stock control process and ensure that stock levels are reviewed on a regular basis Pharmaceutical Buyer Requirements: 2 years' experience on similar roles preferably in the pharmaceutical industry Ability to identify and implement cost saving procedures in the procurement process through strong analytical skills Demonstrable experience with market and development portfolio offerings Excellent communication skills Strong problem solving, persuasion, and negotiation skills; being able to execute solutions/deliverables in a timely manner An ability to establish rapport quickly, with a demanding and expert client base Excellent computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite Excellent written and oral English skills, with other European languages a bonus A proven ability to focus and work with attention to detail, along with retaining critical information Pharmaceutical Buyer Benefits: 20 days per annum + Bank Holidays Career Progression If you meet the Pharmaceutical Buyer requirements and feel the role would be a good fit, then please apply today!
