Our client a successful business based in Coalville are looking to add a Buyer/Procurement Officer to their small friendly team. The role may be offered on a Temp to Perm or Perm basis, there is a permanent job there for the right candidate. Candidates should ideally be available immediately or on short notice. The role: Send out enquiries for appropriate raw materials, collate and analyse quotations Coordinate all procurement to meet agreed timescales and budgets Consolidate purchases of materials to achieve maximum economic benefit. Chase deliveries from suppliers that are overdue or urgent. Inform other departments of all relevant information regarding changes in materials, major price movements, delivery lead times and individual supply situations. Building and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers. Main responsibilities of the Buyer: Be the primary point of contact for B2B relationships, with specific focus on the supply of Solutions Products Host business reviews and increase profitability by negotiating costs and promotions including cash impact for Onecom by negotiating payment terms and credit limits Rationalise and grow the Company's Main Distribution Frame (MDF) programme in partnership with the Marketing and Sales departments Pull data and develop reporting on the Company's product trends, sales and manufacturer positioning within the business Manage the external manufacturer within Operational and Sales departments Perform as functional bridge amongst external Manufacturers and Partners as well as internal stakeholders Coordinate all product management tasks inclusive of working with external vendors or internal employees Ensure to track, measure, report and evaluate Manufacturer, Partner and Product performance Assist in a liaison capacity with Manufacturer and Partners and other departments and business units to implement and communicate business strategy Provide monthly summaries on overall performance and trends on Solutions products Manage the development of new incentives with both internal department and external vendors. Requirements of the Buyer: Strong IT skills and use of programs including MS Excel, Word and CRM systems Experience within a purchasing team Previous commercial administrative experience Experience with technical product purchasing (desirable) Experience of Mitel Products & Solutions (desirable) Experience within a telecommunications or IT environment (desirable) Experience with Sage (desirable) Excellent attention to detail and accuracy A positive "can-do" attitude Strong organisational skills High level of commercial awareness - understands how their role and other roles impact the business Management and decision-making skills Stakeholder management skills Excellent teambuilding and relationship-building skills at all levels Experience of managing multiple supplier relationships in a dynamic environment Ability to influence and negotiate with stakeholders and suppliers on commercial and service issues What's on offer?
