This private, family run 5 bed residential care home for learning disabilities is looking to appoint Support Workers and Senior Support Workers (depending on experience and qualification) on a full time basis. They are based in Seven Kings, Ilford, Essex (5 minutes walk from Seven Kings Station). They are looking for experienced Support Workers and Senior Support Worker who can provide an exceptionally high level of care and quickly become part of the team while leading by example. You will assist in meeting the needs and aspirations of people with learning disabilities by using a person centred approach, providing them with encouragement, support and assistance, promoting their social inclusion and promoting their rights and choice under the supervision and direction of the Home Manager to enable people with learning disabilities to live a more independent and fulfilled lives. Ideally for the senior support worker role you will hold a recognised Level 3 qualification in Health and Social care and have an awareness of the needs of people with learning disabilities with challenging behaviour, Autism, epilepsy and other disabilities. For the support worker role training will be provided. You will be required to work 40 hours a week and you need to be available for shifts on weekends/nights when needed. In return, you will receive excellent regular training and supervision. You will be joining a company that encourages progression. A Minimum of 28 Days Holiday Per Year plus they will contribute to your optional pension scheme.

Medacs Healthcare are in partnership with a nationwide care provider to recruit Support Workers in Potters Bar at their supported living service for young people with learning disabilities and complex needs. The service has been designed for young people aged 1825 who may have lived in residential schools or residential care services and who aspire to have a place of their own. The site is manned 24/7 with care staff and the teams within each location provide the very best of care. You will have every other weekend off. Full training will be given and the company will pay for you to sit the formal care qualifications that are then yours to own.
