The Candidate The ideal candidate for the Teacher/Teaching Assistant role will portray the following skills and attributes: Excellent communication and organisational skills Experience of working with young people with additional needs The ability to develop and promote positive working relationships with individual service users, their family and professional colleagues For the teaching posts a PGCE, Certificate in Education or relevant degree will be required. We are currently recruiting for an experienced Teaching Assistant / Lead Education Worker to join a special independent Care Farm for children aged 919 in Maiden Bradley. You would be supporting and educating young people with emotional behavioural difficulties, complex Learning Difficulties, Autistic Spectrum Disorder and challenging behaviour. Salary: £13,000 £18,500 per year depending on experience. Hours: 37.5 hours a week Term Time only (39 weeks of the year) About the Care Farm: This is part of a long established, well regarded provision offering a range of childrens services and a team that has strong experience and skills working with children who have a variety of care needs including, those that have experienced trauma, learning disability, educational exclusion, high risk behaviours and mental health issues.
