With other stunning racedays and a year-round calendar of events to support, Ascot is a flourishing business and a fantastic place to develop your career.THE ROLE:Part of a team delivering a raceday turnover budget of over £13.5 million Responsible for the overall delivery of the raceday experience in terms of staffing numbers and the associated customer service delivered (staffing numbers range from 110 to 650) To manage the recruitment process for the above staffing numbers. This will involve delivering a business plan looking at core staffing, local recruitment and working with various staffing agencies Deliver the business plan in terms of setting up and attending job fayres, university recruitment days and other recruitment opportunities To design, set up and administer various on-line training programs in conjunction with our e-learning partner To deliver the administration, training and staff development to achieve agreed staffing targets In conjunction with the Operations and Retail Manager, manage the betting raceday P&L in terms of driving turnover through key messaging to the team as well as closely managing costs in line with budgets To work with finance, payroll and HR in terms of staffing and staff payment To produce and update various working manuals to include policies and procedure documents, Operations Manuals Staff information handbooks, training manuals, cash handling manuals, Health and Safety manuals and a pay and conditions document General administrative duties as requested by the Operations and Retail Manager Such other duties as the Company may, at times, reasonably require IDEAL CANDIDATE FOR THE ROLE: Qualifications, Skills and Experience: Execllent administrative skills, budgetary and staff recruitment and training experience Significant experience of working on large scale events Excellent oral and written communication skills at all levels To be conversant with relevant legislation to include the Health and Safety at Work Act and CIPD Qualification is desirable BENEFITS AVAILABLE TO THE ROLE: Alongside a very competitive salary, you will be able to take advantage of a great package.
