To procure transport services ensuring cost efficiencies and quality. Be the initial point of contact for customers (internal & external), providing information and resolution to enquiries Arrange bespoke transport on behalf of other departments including; Special Educational Needs, Further Education, Adult and Childrens Social Care. Procure and arrange transport provision for clients, identifying the most appropriate mode of transportation based on needs of passengers and available services. To lead and/ or assist the Client Transport Planner in monitoring and reviewing existing services to drive efficiencies. Optimise services where appropriate using dedicated systems and assist deploying inspector resource for sources of information. Nu Staff are looking for a Transport Administrator on a Permanent contract, for a Client in the Bristol area. Role The successful candidate will be assisting the Manager in the smooth operation of the Transport Office, compiling and maintaining documentation and managing information. Ensuring drivers depart and arrive on time, processing vital information, issuing journey details and booking staff on and off shift, this is a very challenging and demanding role. Responsibilities include: Brief and debrief the drivers on both departure and return from each journey. To effectively communicate via telephone to customers and Depots, ensuring incoming calls are answered and dealt with promptly. To assist the management team in providing a professional service. To work well within the transport team function to ensure deadlines are met. Generate driver journey sheets from in house computer systems and issue to drivers. Produce reports, such as missing volume, debrief status and unconfirmed orders. * Collate weekly information for Transport auditing purposes. Candidate profile: The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills. In addition to being articulate, professional and well organised, your ability to use your initiative and stay on top of several tasks at once will prove invaluable. You will need to have strong PC skills and knowledge of transport hours and regulations.
