Key Responsibilities:

  • Operating one of the schools minibus routes, collecting children from given pickup points along the route and delivering them to school in the morning
  • Responsibility for the safety checks on the minibuses in the School fleet, including their ongoing maintenance to ensure all minibuses are in a clean and presentable condition
  • Ensuring that the minibus is kept clean and in good condition, including, but not restricted to:
  • Ensuring signs inside the bus are properly attached and in good condition
  • Regular visual inspection/checking of tyres, lights, oil, water, fuel
  • Ensuring that any additional work required is communicated immediately to the Bursar
  • Adhere to all school policies including Health & Safety guidelines for minibus drivers

Person Specification:

  • Clean Driving Licence with Full D1 classification Approved Minibus Driving permit
  • At least 3 years driving experience
  • Ability to read a vehicle number plate from 67ft (with or without the use of glasses)
  • Must pass regular driving assessments in line with legislative requirements
  • Reliability, Punctuality and Good Communication Skills
  • High standard of personal cleanliness and tidiness

I am looking for a high number of Car Parkers to work at my one of my clients based at Gatwick Airport.

This Car Parking role involves moving vehicles throughout Gatwick Airport.

To be able to perform this Car Parking role, you MUST have a UK licence, over be 25 years old and have less than 3 points for insurance purposes.

The Car Parking role is based at Gatwick so you must be able to travel to this destination.

I am looking for individuals with excellent Customer Service skills, very smart and presentable appearance and flexible attitudes as you may also be asked to meet and greet customers, run a reception desk, take digital photos of the cars as they are received, However, you will mainly be Driving various cars in and around the Gatwick Terminals and Car Parks.

Hours of work are on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern / rota, ##### ######and 18##### ######day shifts followed by 4 night shifts and pays £8.50 per hour + holiday pay

Or

4am to 12pm Thursday, Friday and Saturday + 12pm to 8pm on Sundays and Mondays

There is a lot of potential to work extra shifts / hours. Some of these shorter shifts may be asked to flex up to a full 12 hour shift too.

As a Driver you will:

  • Ensure that passengers with reduce mobility are collected, transported and assisted onto/off the correct aircraft in a timely fashion, causing the least amount of distress to the passenger.

Your Key area of responsibility will be:

  • To ensure the safety of all travelling in the vehicle check that the passengers with reduce mobility is either seated in an OCS vehicle seat and is wearing a seatbelt or the passengers with reduce mobility is seated in a wheelchair that has been clamped into the vehicle using the Station clamping system/Easisit. Travelling companions must also be seated and wear a seatbelt.
  • To organise the most efficient and effective way of transporting several passengers with reduce mobility (plus one of their companions) to the various aircraft, ensuring on time departures.
  • To liaise with the Controller regarding timescales and locations.
  • To coordinate the boarding / disembarkation of passengers with reduce mobility onto / off the aircraft from your vehicle, liaising with the Cabin Crew to ensure smooth passage.
  • Overall responsibility for the use of all aspects of the Ambi Lift vehicle including the tail lift and front platform and their controls.
  • To ensure there is an accompanying OCS staff member in the main cab travelling with passengers with reduce mobilitys at all times (they must be seated) and there has been a form of communication established between the Driver and OCS staff member prior to moving the vehicle.
  • To adhere to the Airport Byelaws and speed limits on Airport.
  • To keep the vehicles clean and tidy internally and externally.

  • HGV/Hilift vehicle driving preferable.

Contracts are up to 37.5 hours per week.

You must be flexible and able to work shift work on a rota basis. This will include a mixture of early morning, evening and weekend shifts. You will be expected to work some (but not all) weekend and public holidays as part of your normal roster patter as this is a 24hour operation.

The Successful Candidate:
Need to be able to provide a full five year reference history, a clean UK Criminal Record Check/ Overseas Criminal Record Check where applicable and will also need to undertake General Security Awareness Training before starting work.

Right to work in the UK, VALID photo ID Passport/Driving Licence, Proof of NI.
