Birmingham Airport - Baggage handler / Ramp Operative / Warehouse Operative 30 hours minimum contract Ongoing contract up until 31st of October 2017 with a view to a permanent role for the right candidate 24 hour shift pattern including nights You must hold a full UK/EU drivers licence Duties: - Load and unload aircraft luggage weighing up to 32 Kilos - Be able to work in confined spaces and from heights - Responsible for maintaining safety and security of the ramp at all times Monitor Customer safety during boarding/offloading of aircraft and assist Customers where necessary - Marshall aircraft on the ramp (includes directing, assisting and parking all arriving, departing and towed aircraft) - Transfer of baggage - Observe safe ground handling procedures and maintenance of ground handling equipment, including the performance of equipment checks - Comply with all safety procedures and Station Policies - Assist in ramp set-up and storage of equipment and baggage - Communicate with Operations, Flight Crew personnel and other ground personnel.
