We are currently recruiting for a Graduate/ Trainee Quantity Surveyor to join a family run construction company, based in Watford, that have been operating for over 20 years. Our client cover a variety of works ranging from conservation & restoration through to new builds and are looking for a Graduate/ Trainee QS to come on board due to an ever increasing workload. Our client are looking for a Graduate/ Trainee QS that can come on board and be given full support and training to be moulded into a great Quantity Surveyor. What you will be doing Following your graduate induction course, you will be working as part of a larger team but specialising in your own market. Mentored by an experienced Recruitment Consultant youll quickly get uptospeed with your market place, understanding the supply and demand for skills and building a network of talented candidates. From day one, you will work in a full recruitment lifecycle role, involving both generating candidates (advertising, headhunting, referrals) and generating clients (cold/warm calling, client meetings, following up leads). Youll be working with an extensive database of candidates and existing clients including Goldman Sachs, Barclays, Accenture, Deloitte, McKinsey, BP, Centrica, BT, GSK, LOreal, Burberry and Apple. Youll manage the recruitment process for your clients, taking job requirements, arranging interviews, preparing candidates for interview, negotiating salaries and hourly rates for specialist temporary contracts and making placements. Promotion is meritocratic, based purely on your personal billing, where you are encouraged to take on more and more responsibility as you develop to Senior Recruitment Consultant, Manager and Director. Your Training As a Graduate Trainee Recruitment Consultant youll receive formal, class room training working through 30 tailormade training course modules which include Candidate Qualification, Advert Writing, Headhunting, ColdCall Business Development, Retainer Pitching, Booking Meetings, Rapport Building, Reference Taking and Being a Green Consultant. As well as your class room training a huge part of your development will be onthejob coaching from your mentor, going on meetings with your manager and shadowing the top billers. What we are looking for Bachelors degree in any subject (2 nd class or above or predicted 2017 graduate). A strong work ethic, for example demonstrated by academics, sport, music, entrepreneurial exploits, working whilst at university or working in Summer/Winter/Easter holidays. Track record of taking responsibility This could include being part of a university committee, sports or society (President, Club Captain, Treasurer, Secretary, Social Secretary), running your own business, team leading or taking on greater responsibility in work experience or commercial roles, undertaking a work placement, summer work or post graduate experience. Whats on offer Starting basic salary of £20,000 which increases to £23,000 after your third placement and to £30,000 on promotion to Senior Recruitment Consultant. Uncapped commission scheme based purely on your personal billing from the previous month and paid on a monthly basis. Previously, Graduate Trainees have earned over £25,000 in their first year and top billers earn over £100,000 per annum.
