Senior Manager, Education Operations Qualification: B.Ed QTS primary education plus relevant additional professional qualifications Experience: Classroom responsibility plus 3 years senior leadership experience in schools A leading educational charity that invests in, and works with, partner NGOs and Government schools in India are looking to provide primary education in remote, rural communities. The continued success of this Charitys programmes has resulted in the planned expansion of the senior team. In the new structure, the Senior Op Manager Education Content, based in the UK office, will be responsible for all aspects required to deliver quality training, teaching and learning to our target audiences, which includes Teachers, Headteachers and Government officials in India. You will be responsible for managing the ongoing development and coordination of these materials. Role Description The Senior Operations Manager, Education Content will play a pivotal role in ensuring that the Education Content developed for all of the Education programmes is based on a keen understanding of needs, high quality and delivered in a timely and efficient manner. This role will manage the pool of talented content developers, as well as lead the Education logistics resources across the UK and India to ensure that all materials and content reach the beneficiaries on time, in full and on cost. Additionally, the incumbent will work closely with the Technology team, SP&P, the Director of Education and other members of the Senior Education Team to support the digitisation of Education content. Key Responsibilities Education Content Planning & Implementation Responsible for: Understanding the content development process, mapping stage gates and decisions to be made at each stage gate, identifying potential road blocks and ways to resolve them Working with the Deputy Director, Education Content to develop the annual calendar/ plan of Education Content to be developed from all our developers, for all the Education programmes and interventions Design, development and implementation of all the tools and processes that will ensure that Education content being developed by our external developers is planned, reviewed, monitored and delivered on time and to the standards required Q&A Education content as it is developed, provide feedback and identify and escalate issues and risks as appropriate. Work with the Deputy Director, Education Content and the content developers to resolve effectively Analyse the strengths, weaknesses and gaps during the implementation and provide practical suggestions for improvement Education Logistics Planning & Implementation Responsible for: Linking the Education content development process to Education content logistics process (across UK and India), mapping stage gates and decisions to be made at each stage gate, identifying potential road blocks and ways to resolve them Understand the cost implications of materials developed and ensure alignment to budgets Design, development and implementation of all the tools and processes that will ensure that Education material being printed/ developed is done and delivered to the right locations on time, in full and accurately Q&A Education material as it is developed, provide feedback and identify and escalate issues and risks as appropriate. Work with the Deputy Director, Education Content and the Education logistics teams in UK and India to resolve effectively Analyse the strengths, weaknesses and gaps during the implementation and provide practical suggestions for improvement Digitisation of Content Responsible for: Working with the Technology team, the Deputy Director, Education Content and the Deputy Director, Learning Design to design, plan and implement the digitisation of the Charitys Education content Assist the delivery of a portfolio of blended and digital learning projects Review and Q&A the content being digitised and ensure it is as per standards and meets the programme and beneficiary needs Support the review of use and impact of the digitised content Working with External Agencies Responsible for: Supporting the evaluation of proposals from external digitisation or UKbased material development organisations Liaising with and overseeing the delivery of any contracts with external organisations under the direction of the Deputy Director, Education Content People Management and Working with Others Line management of the Education content developers and the logistics team (UK and India) Supervise and mentor direct reports in executing their plans Identify and escalate/ address any HR issues Support an environment of openness, collaboration and transparency Ensure behaviours with internal and external stakeholders is consistent with the charities Values Person Profile Proven expertise in teaching and learning, Education content development and team management Minimum 3+ years of experience as senior leader in school setting Demonstrated expertise in managing large multidisciplinary teams, as well as external stakeholders Strong ability to communicate and develop effective working relationships with all internal and external stakeholders Ability and drive to achieve results and demonstrable impact of programmes People oriented team leader Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English Selfmotivated, and happy to work unsupervised, using own initiative Well organised and able to juggle many activities at once Attention to detail Desirable A good understanding of the Education sector in India To apply for this position please do not delay in contacting Bonnie at REESON Education ASAP.
