The working hours will be from 15:30 18:30, Monday through to Friday. We are looking for someone who is hard working and someone who has good attention to detail. Cleaning experience is not essential, however it would be beneficial. A standard DBS check will need to be carried out for this position. This will be done through Manpower. We are currently looking for a Book-keeper/Office Manager to work part time in our office. The successful candidate will be someone with a book-keeping qualification and a good understanding of VAT. You’ll need to be super-organised with great attention to detail. We travel a lot and we don’t always work from the office so you’ll spend some of your time working alone but you also need to be confident interacting with colleagues, clients and suppliers. The successful applicant will be responsible for: - Issuing invoices, recording expenditure, tracking expenses and reconciling bank statements in Xero; - Recording VAT according to whether a customer or supplier is in the UK, the EU or outside both and preparing VAT returns; - Ensuring that our customers pay their invoices promptly (credit control); - Payroll: Making sure salaries are paid and reported correctly to HMRC; - Office facilities: Making sure that everything works, supplies are available, keeping track of who has a key; - Greeting visitors, responding to mail and calls, scheduling appointments, preparing resources, make travel arrangements and filing; - Other tasks may include making tea, driving colleagues/clients to the airport, arranging catering and updating social media. The following would be advantageous (but not essential): - Experience of using Xero and WorkflowMax; - Previous experience of running an office; - IT literate (e.g. able to support set-up and use of laptops, phones, email etc.); - Expert user of Word; - Knowledge of WordPress (website publishing); - Understanding of quality management. The Rewards: - SALARY: Up to £24,000 pro-rata depending on skills and experience; - WORKING HOURS: 20 hours per week spread over four or five days; - LEAVE: 20 days’ annually plus statutory holidays (we do not have a company sick pay scheme). There will be an occasional requirement to work additional hours (full days). The job will be office-based at a location with limited public transport but plenty of parking (West Grinstead).
