Driver Part Time (Contract) Field Based (covering South Ockendon and the surrounding area) £7.83 per hour Our client is an innovative charity that focuses on inspiring people to give the gift of voluntary service to support the NHS and older people at home and in the community. Now, our client is looking for a Driver to support their meal delivery service on a part time basis for a contract lasting until the 31st March 2019. If you are focused on supporting other people and possess a full driving licence, this is a brilliant opportunity to take on a short-term contract with a pioneering charity. As a Driver, you will deliver meals to customers’ homes throughout South Ockendon and the surrounding area. Your role will involve effectively planning your route to ensure that all meals are delivered at the correct point of temperature. You will also: - Communicate with customers in a friendly, professional manner - Collect payments - Issue receipts - Complete associated admin tasks - Make sure that your vehicle is clean, tidy and well-maintained Interested? To be considered as a Driver, you will need: - A full, valid driving licence - An excellent understanding of road traffic rules and regulations - Some knowledge of emergency medical procedures such as resuscitation techniques Ideally, you’ll have a food hygiene certificate, but this is by no means essential. Knowledge of the voluntary and/or care sector would also be an advantage, as would customer service experience. Previous experience in a driving role would also be beneficial. This is a part time role, working six hours across Saturday and Sunday, 11.30am 2.30pm.
