Meridian Business Support are currently recruiting for a Operations Manager to work for a leading provider of nurseled complex healthcare in their homes nationally. The role is on a full time, permanent contract and is based in the West Midlands. The Operations Manager will provide effective supervision of Personal Assistants and management of an allocation of up to 15 clients (both complex and standard care) packages to ensure the professional delivery of a highquality cost effective complex care service. Salary £28,000 Car Allowance £4,##### ######Days Holiday MAIN DUTIES Staff supervision and rota management Supervise and manage a maximum of 15 clients, including the teams of Personal Assistants and where applicable, Care Coordinators, providing supervision, role development and support in the following way: Conduct Reviews if required at least annually with all team members; carry out performance reviews as and when required Undertake return to work interviews with staff following periods of sickness Process annual leave applications Conduct and record field visits with each client as appropriate but at least monthly Convene, chair and minute staff meetings for each client staff group Working with the Clinical Nurse Managers and Clinical Assessors, contribute to the identification of training needs for staff and ensure training reflects developments in care delivery and management Monitor staffing levels in each client package, requesting recruitment intervention as necessary Support the recruitment process through the promotion of local recruitment methods, being involved in interviewing/ induction processes Ensure that all shifts are covered in allocated packages, maintaining full responsibility for the safe coverage of care by appropriately skilled staff. Service delivery Working with a Clinical Nurse Manager, undertake Risk Assessments and other assessments for clients and their homes as delegated by the Regional Manager or Regional Clinical Lead Assist the Clinical Nurse Manager with Hospital Discharge arrangements and the development of new packages of care as required. This includes liaison with CCG and Social Services. Personally, deliver and deliver by delegation, a high quality complex care service to a group of allocated clients in accordance with CQC and other professional bodies Respond to clients, staff and families in a staffing crisis providing support, advice, expertise and guidance by telephone and when appropriate in person, for clients, families, Personal Care Assistants etc. within own group of allocated clients and other clients if required to cover. Working with the Clinical Nurse Manager, ensure an elevated level of customer/client satisfaction though excellent and sensitive communication, empathy, ability to manage complex relationships, proactively managing expectations and creating solutions for clients; providing reassurance and instilling confidence in the service Troubleshoot service delivery problems Ensure that clients, families and informal carers (i.e. friends and family) remain central to our services Ensure the accurate and timely reporting of all rota allocations, annual leave, sick leave, maternity leave, staff absence records and data in rostering system for the allocated care packages Maintain an up to date knowledge of all company policies and procedures, national care standards, best practice in complex care and Health & Safety regulations.
